You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs Experience Requirements One year experience preferred Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty 2 years of L&D experience preferred.
Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and well baby care, circulating for c-sections, triage, and as charge nurse preferred Charge Nurse experience is a plus Licences/Certification Requirements RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer STABLE preferred ACLS preferred Physical Requirements Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) SCHEDULE:
Night and Days Shifts, Minumum of 6 days/6 week schedule period.
1 winter and 1 summer holiday required.

The OB Post-Partum department at Longmont United Hospital has 19 LDRP beds, six Level II Special Care Nursery beds, two ORs and a three-bed triage.
Our scope is Labor and Delivery, postpartum couplet care (mom & well baby), antepartum care, C-sections, tubal ligations, Level II nursery and care for babies 34 weeks and up.
Our department gets occasional overflow with gynecological surgery patients.
We have a strong, supportive culture with all BirthPlace associates and providers and provides a very positive team environment.
The right candidate must have a positive attitude and want to work in a strongly supportiveteam environment.
They need to be able to learn quickly and be someone who can multitask and handle ongoing change without getting flustered.
This person will need to be flexible and able to work at a fast pace.
