Auctioneers seeks a dynamic, hands-on leader to be our Assistant Regional Operations Manager (AROM).
The work location for this position is Denver, Colorado, and it is considered a fully on-site role.

The Opportunity:
The Assistant Regional Operations Manager will play an integral leadership role in managing the business through systems and people, including appraisals, and processing deals, managing contracts, direct marketing, both buyer & seller, and assisting the field sales staff in attracting customers to the Ritchie Bros.

Reporting to and working directly with the Director of Operations this role will be responsible for achieving the regional annual Gross Transactional Value, Revenue, and Total Agency Proceeds targets through the development of a Customer Service Manager, Administration associates, and coordination with Regional Sales Manager and their associated team of Territory Managers.
All sales and administrative staff will report directly or indirectly to the ROM.
In this role you'll:
Work with the Director of Operations and associated Regional Operational Managers, the Corporate Marketing team, and Associates to formulate and execute marketing strategies, objectives, and initiatives that are aligned with the corporate marketing strategy.
Manage the performance accountability of Customer Service Managers and other direct reports for the region including succession planning, career planning, and compensation.
Oversee and guide the usage of our RBA internal systems and coordinate with our usage of external databases used to evaluate, appraise, and qualify contract deals.
Ensure all aspects of deal execution are carried out:
support appraisal process, develop and execute standard operating procedures, balance risk on deals including the consideration of longer-term implications, ensure the proper flow of searches, sale day and post-sale functions.
Develop a strong partnership with the Managers in the region to promote a high level of communication between the sales and the operation, including meeting regularly with the RSM to review the overall financial performance of the region and develop plans to deal with problems or issues.
Serve as the lead in fostering a culture of clear direct communication within the region and throughout Ritchie Bros.
so that roles and responsibilities are understood, inter-region and interdepartmental cooperation is encouraged, and employee engagement is maximized.
Manage and promotes deal process quality and accuracy as well as maintain set standard key performance indicators (KPI's) such as time management to sign a contract, promote a contract, and complete deal closing.
Own all customer contracts - their completeness and accuracy, policy compliance, timely delivery of documents, land titles, tax notices, Surface Lease Revenue (SLR) and titles/registrations, and the execution of all other Ritchie Bros.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Here's what you bring:
University Degree in Business Management or Commerce Required minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing and/or directing an operation in a quota-driven business environment.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, both in-house and remotely, through initiatives and business plans to support evolving business goals, including delivering and executing operational events.
Strong business acumen:
knowledge of business theory, business processes and operations, management principles, and budgets.
Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills are essential A high degree of customer service orientation.
You care about building authentic and long-lasting relationships with customers.
Previous experience working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment either in-house or remotely.
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
This job will require you to:
Travel throughout the region as business requires.
Overnight travel will be required.

Individual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Based on the national average, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $83,400.
