General Shop Foreman

POSITION
Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing all operations of the CLD Service Shop.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assess technician skills and abilities and dispatch work accordinglyEffectively monitor and adjust workflow to ensure efficient daily throughputWhen necessary coordinate work flow with other departments to ensure on time delivery and customer expectations are achieved.
Monitor monthly trends to delivery goals and manage/lead team to achievementContinually develop and train technicians through ongoing coaching, guidance and feedbackEnsure the shop is clean and organized daily and monitor the location and care of shop tools.
Meet with Delivery Manager and Delivery Advisors twice daily to provide status updates on progress of deliveries and overall shop operations.
Support Shop Manager with hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all service department techs.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
Handle customer complaints.
Direct technicians on proper document processing.
Follow up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.
Attend all required training and company meetingsAdditional responsibilities as requested or required QUALIFICATIONS and
Experience:
One year of supervisor experience preferredASE certification preferredValid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously during high pressure situationsAbility to read and comprehend instructions and informationMust have excellent supervisory and managerial skillsMust have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend EnglishEDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent Recommended Skills Communication Customer Service English Expediting Leadership Stress Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
