Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Handles recruitment for temporary positions.
- Manages pre-employment screenings, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
- Responds to inquiries regarding employee benefits, leave requests, and reasonable accommodation requests.
- Supports monitoring employee relations as needed.
- Supports in motivating managers/supervisors to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of all employees.
- Handles Unanet requests such as creating new accounts, running reports, and adding job codes.
- Assists with development and maintenance of confidential employee records.
- Manages HR metrics and reporting for the site such as headcount, terminations, OSHA, work anniversaries etc.
- Works with Corporate HR on maintaining accurate information within HRIS.
- Assists with company events; Veterans Day recognition ceremony, Holiday party, Employee appreciation summer picnic and other events as needed.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, staying up to date on any recent changes.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (1 or more years)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of human resources regulations, state and federal employment law, and relevant administration practices.
- Competent computer skills in MS Office.
- Knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems highly desirable but not required.
