Sr Program/Project Manager

Seagate Technology, the global leader in storage solutions innovation, seeks a Sr. Program/Project Manager, located in our Longmont, Colorado location. The Sr. Program/Project Manager will work out of our Purchasing Operations group and be responsible for the placement of Purchasing Orders including sourcing, associated contracts, supplier management and direct interface with the Seagate employee base. This position also requires the ability to manage and lead process improvement projects and initiatives on a multi-geographical basis bringing a higher level of efficiency to the entire group.
The Successful Candidate will be able to:
Manage incoming purchase requisitions with Seagate employees finding the right source that will provide Seagate with the best price, quality, and point of delivery.
Participate and manage RFQ, RFI, and RFP opportunities
Collaborate with requesters and suppliers from multiple geographical sites to provide remote support with a high level of customer service.
Purchase Order entry and maintenance in our Oracle ERP system.
Ensure on-time delivery, manage quality issues with supply base.
Manage invoice discrepancies with Suppliers and Seagate's Accounts Payable group.

Manage Supplier relationships.
Demonstrate excellent project and task management skills, problem solving abilities and be able to multi-task at a professional level.
Will be required on a periodical basis to initiate and lead a project management effort perhaps on a worldwide basis to solve a distinct business problem or process improvement effort.
Must have an understanding of how to construct a project team and lead that team to tangible results.
Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions and policies.
Excellent negotiations skills to bring cost savings opportunities to Seagate.
Contract and NDA understanding and the ability to interact with the Seagate legal group.
Will be required to interact and manage relationships with multiple levels of employees and management in a positive and collaborative manner.
Must have excellent communication skills for both internal Seagate employees and outside supplier interactions.
Work with minimal supervision and direction.
Proven problem solving capabilities.
This is an individual contributor role and will not have direct level employees but may be asked to serve in a leadership role within the department.

Qualifications:
Experience / Education Required:
BS and 5-8 years of exp, or MS and 3-5 years of exp. or PHD and 0-2 years of exp. - Purchasing Experience including sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract management.
Position requires previous experience in participating and leading project improvement efforts on multi-geographical efforts.
Ability to actively participate in full tender efforts.
Previous experience with RFQ, RFI and RFP processes.
Previous experience in Oracle ERP preferred
Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Previous experience with contract management databases preferred.
BA/BS in Business, Operations, Supply Chain management preferred.
Professional Certifications in Supply Chain Management or related fields preferred.
Limited domestic travel up to 10% may be required.
